Providing a Voice
As your re-elected Place 5 Trustee, I will help ensure those with the smallest voices are heard and respected, not just the loudest among us.
Teacher Support
As your re-elected Place 5 Trustee, I will help ensure our Round Rock ISD teachers are supported so they can continue providing a stellar learning experience for our students.
Equitable Facilities
As your re-elected Place 5 Trustee, I will work tirelessly to ensure we have equitable facilities and programs across the district including ensuring facilities are safe for students, staff and faculty.
ABOUT AMY WEIR
Actively involved as a Round Rock ISD volunteer since 2004, Amy Weir has held numerous leadership positions in the PTA organizations at three Round Rock ISD schools: Pond Springs Elementary, Deerpark Middle School, and McNeil High School. She served as PTA president at Deerpark and McNeil. Weir is a 2013 Leadership Round Rock ISD graduate and has served as a committee chair with the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs. She served on three Round Rock ISD Citizen Bond Committees in 2014, 2017 and 2018.
Weir also previously served as a committee chair with the McNeil High School Wrestling Booster Club and served in numerous local leadership positions with the Girl Scouts of Central Texas and the Boy Scouts of America Capital Area Council.
She received her Bachelor’s of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 and her JD from Boston College Law School in 2002. Weir and her husband have been married for 27 years and are the proud parents of five children, ranging in age from 14 to 25. Their four eldest children are graduates of McNeil High School and their youngest is a freshman at McNeil High School.
